Board of Directors
Irene Gleeson Foundation (Australia) Ltd is a registered not-for-profit company , which is governed by a Board of Directors.
IGF Australia is responsible for creating and maintaining a reliable, efficient and ethical funding base through the promotion of sponsorships, fundraising events and other activities to enable IGF’s goals and objectives to be achieved in Northern Uganda.
IGFA has a board comprising non-executive directors who meet as a full Board regularly.

John Foley
ChairmanJohn Foley
John has a Bachelor of Economics Degree and a double Masters in Management and Business Administration. He has held the position of Managing Director of Star Financial Services for over 15 years. Prior to that he worked in Financial Markets at Westpac Banking Corporation. An experienced financial services professional with over 20 years financial markets experience, John has been active in the developing world volunteering for poverty alleviation causes including Opportunity International and Compassion, visiting programs in Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Indonesia, Thailand and Guatemala.

David Welsh
DirectorDavid Welsh
David has a Bachelor of Business degree and has been a CPA for over 30 years. He has held the Executive Director of Kenneth Copeland Ministries Australia Asia Pacific for the last 15 years. He has extensive experience serving on numerous Not for Profit Boards. He specialises in leadership development, executive management, Not for Profit governance and strategic planning. David has had a friendship and association with Irene Gleeson and her work since 1999.

John Paul Kiffasi

Qualifications:
Diploma in Business Administration; Certificates in Project Planning and Management, Human Resource Management, Project Monitoring and Evaluation; Bachelor of Commerce (Bcomm) Student.
Experience:
John Paul joined IGF in 2000 and operated as Development Manager for Uganda for 5 years. He then served as Chief Administrator from 2006 to 2013. In 2013 John Paul was appointed as Executive Director for Uganda.

Anders Halvorsen

Qualifications:
MBA, JP, MAICD
Experience:
Business management consultant; Chairman Paraplegic & Quadriplegic Association of NSW(ParaQuad NSW), Director North Coast Community Housing Company Ltd; Chairman C3 Church Ballina; Director Halvo Pty Ltd.
Anders received an Order of Australia award in 2021.

Sarah currently works at Barnardos Australia and is the Executive Leader for Engagement and Giving

Colin McNabb
Executive ManagerColin McNabb
Colin has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and spent 15 years managing his own business, prior to working in the financial services industry for 3 years. Joining IGF in 2013, he has been in the role of IGF Executive Manager for 8 years.

Alice Zagorski
Sponsorship CoordinatorAlice Zagorski
Alice was a personal friend of Irene Gleeson and has been with Irene Gleeson Foundation since 1992. She helps coordinate the child sponsorship program, answers incoming calls and helps with donor queries, as well as other administrative tasks.

Sylvia McNabb
office administratorSylvia McNabb
Sylvia joined IGF in 2019 to help with some of the administrative tasks. Sylvia assists with processing of donations, updating donor payment details, banking etc.
